I had an abortion about one and a half weeks ago. i took my antibiotis and painkillers but i have this constant bloated achy feeling in my back and lower abdomen, plus i find going to the loo hurts. i suffer from ibs and was wondering if these were just post symptoms until my body had gotten over it or i might have an infection/problem

I have found that the stress from an abortion, even if it was the right choice and you are pro-choice, can cause IBS to wrosen.

You could get checked out just in case, but I know my intestines acted up pretty badly afterwards. The drop in hormones also cause stress too..

The anti-biotics may have caused an imbalance between the 'good' and 'bad' bacteria in the in the intestinal tract. perhaps try taking probiotics or a good quality natural yoghurt.
