post-medical abortion pregnancy testing

Hi, i opted to have a medical abortion a little more than a week ago, i took the medicine they gave me, and i've been bleeding for the last week, at some points quite heavily. its been 2 days since i stopped bleeding, and i was told i could take a pregnancy test at that point. the test came back positive and i need to know if i should go back for further information or more medication.

A pregnancy test would show up positive for 3-4 weeks after an abortion!

I work in a clinic, and have had 3 aboritons myself.


You should go back for a follow up visit, but a preg test will show up positive for awhile.

Hi, I had a medical abortion a little more then a week ago. I have the expected bleeding and clots, as they told me, but the thing that make me believe I am still pregnant is because I am still peeing often. Is that possible?
