My husband has been prescribed on potassium chloride 20 mg er. He had minor disruption of the heart beats. Anyway we went on weekend to my sister’s house and he forgot the medicine. When we came back he has continued with prescribed dose. Is that dangerous? What happens when he miss the dose?
Well, the good thing is that he took the dose when he came back He shouldn’t take double dose! However, it is important to take potassium chloride regularly to get the most benefit. If he feels some nausea, stomach discomfort stomach pain, irregular heartbeat, weak or heavy legs, or numbness he should see a nurse or doctor.
