Hi! About a week I have pounding heart beat. I think that I have some heart disease. I don’t have enough courage to see a doctor. I don’t know what he will find out so I worry that is something serious. Give me some information about pounding heart beat. What can be cause?

Hi! You should know that isn’t disease but a congregate of symptoms in which the patient suddenly becomes extremely aware of his heartbeat. Benign, pounding heart beat lasting for a few seconds with no other symptoms. Frequent pounding heart beat associated with symptoms can be dangerous and may require immediate attention. You didn’t tell that you have other symptoms. So, your heart palpations are probably benign. Cause can be high blood pressure, low blood sugar, arrhythmias, thyroid disease, stress...You should see a doctor. Probably is nothing serious. Good luck!
