prednisone usage in bell's palsy

Hi, I am 36 years old and I am suffering from bell's palsy. It started 3 days ago and I was very afraid when I saw my face in the mirror. I have visited my doctor urgently and he prescribed me prednisone. I would like to know something more about prednisone usage in bell's palsy.

Hi, as someone who also suffered from bell's palsy I may tell you that prednisone is quite good medication for this disorder. My doctor also told me that prednisone would unable swelling of the nerve and it would improve its function. Unfortunately prednisone is useful only in the first 6 days when bell's palsy appears.
