I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and had to have a D&C (Dr said my body had done most of the work and he didn't have to get much out) 3 and a half weeks ago. My Dr. recomended no sex for 3 weeks which we only waited about 1.5 weeks because I felt completely healthy and ready. I can tell exactly when I ovulate and felt I was pg a few days after I conceived with this past pg. I had some mild cramping for the first few weeks - which I do not remember having with my 2 year old daughter. Other than that I felt wonderful. I didn't even have bad cramping when I miscarried - only small amount of bleeding. I feel like I ovulated a few days ago - and I'm having mild cramping again like I did with this past pg. I'm so afraid that if I am pg again that it is going to end the same way. Anyone have a similar experience... or able to help put my mind at ease. We want another baby so much, I'm just afraid I'm going to have trouble bonding with it early on for fear that we will lose it like we did this last time.
Jama, that fear is totally validated. However, just because you wait till you are 13 weeks and have passed the most difficult and dangerous part of pregnancy to bond will not stop you from bonding the way you would normally. It is hard to face pregnancy with hope after a m/c or multiple m/c, but a lot of women go on to have healthy pregnancies after previous losses. So keep your chin up, get your test taken when you miss your menses, and make sure you get the earliest prenatal care possible. Take care of ourself, and I'm hoping for you.
