pregnancy symptoms and negative test

my period is extremely irregular. i was sexualy active the end of last month around thanksgiving time and the last time i had my period was in the begining of november. this past week i have been naushus and throwing up with lightheadedness and the smell of nething makes me sick. i took a home pregnancy test and it was negative but im not sure if i took it too soon because of my irregualr period?
