This is the 'standard' but not a true statement. You can get pregnant ANY DAY of your cycle. For some women, they have to be in that 12-14 day window, but there are plenty of women who don't fall into that "rule".
I know because I am one of them. My 7 yr. old was conceived on the 6th day of my cycle. I was still bleeding, and I got pregnant. My best friend got pregnant on the 5th day of her cycle, and she was still bleeding. So this is by NO means a hard and fast rule.
I know it isn't fair that some women are more fertile than others, whether you consider it a good thing or a bad thing, but it is the way it is.
So if you do not want to get Pregnant, ALWAYS us birth control pills, or some sort of birth control, any day of your cycle. It is the only way to truly be sure, short of the failure of the birth control. |
