I totally honestly agree and disagree w/ your opposing arguments against mj & pregnant women. I know that being a heavy user and a strong believer that mj is very harmless in whatever situation is a main reason why I argue against you. I don't have a hard time NOT believing what the government says .. becuz to be truthful the government has fu**** us too many times for them to say one thing and expect for the whole world to believe ''it's the right way'' . Every woman isn't the same.. Maybe for some smoking mj is bad.. but for those who know and believe it won't do a thing.. Buying diapers and baby formula and a dub sac for ''me time'' shouldn't be a problem. In many cases mj users are ususally cautious and chill about everything. For those who USE to be stupid... yeah, i really think they need to stay off. In the case of making sense about keeping new borns safe... all i have to say will still be the same.. THERE IS NO PROVEN FACT.
But..............
I will remember that I am crossing over to motherhood now. That has to pass up already becoming an adult.. I know (if your a mother).. that all mothers are just trying to protect and look out for their young... and even spread the word to other mothers to help them. Though my beliefs in mj will still stay strong and I believe that I will still use after the baby is born.. I will give it up for a while until the baby is born.
Thanks for the debate Immortal One.. I really enjoyed and got different points of view from it!

| Smoking pot is not going to hurt your baby. I will go as far as to promise you. Everyone on here who has said that it will, I would like some instance you personally know of who smoked while pregnant and it harmed the baby. Not only will smoking pot not harm your baby, but it helps with morning sickness and stress. I wouldn't recommend smoking too much during the first trimester due to the already lacking energy, but if it makes you feel better, go for it. Pregnant women deserve some kind of relief, even if the only harmless way to do so is illegal. Alcohol should have been banned way before marijuana if you ask me. Nobody has ever died from smoking weed. |

I can see both sides of this argument.
I have had 3 Miscarriages and 1 daughter, I didnt snoke with her at all, and i lost 3 other babies because I was stressed and have crohn's disease, right now i am in remission after my bowel ressection. I smoke, but not nicotine, i do not drink alcohol. I do not condone my actions, but would i be a better mother if i stopped smoking and showed my unborn baby something it wasnt used to, stress and an unhealthy bowel, which would inevitably kill it as crohns is know to cause miscarriage if it becomes active, so i am like a time bomb anyway. I am so confused yet I have my argument ready and I am sure that what ever i do it will be because i have good judgment.
good luck with all your pregs |

Hello I am a mother of 1 little girl, she is 3 now and I smoked pot off and on while pregnant. I did stop 4 months before she was born so it would not be in her system they do test your children. And for all of you who are asking about the harm and those of you giving out your info let me just tell you my experience since everyone is so judgmental on this topic.
1st off my daughter started pre-school this past September and is ready for kindergarten already. Class of 15 children. The teacher says she is ready for a pre- K school but I am not pushing her she is having fun and has lots of friends and that's what its about right now having fun and social skills.
2nd I am a stay at home mother and take time with her daily to read at least 20 minutes but there are times when she wants more and I do little art projects as well as teach her other skills. She could say her ABC's by the time she was 10 months old started walking by 9 months and is very alert and the sweetest baby. She has slept through the night since birth. I also am a nursing mom. By the way she could say the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE at 15 months old. She has been in ballet since 18 months old as well as karate since 3 years old. We also are in a art & music class.
She can play the piano since 2 1/2 yrs old little songs nothing big....but someday who knows what can come of it.
Now I am pregnant again, 5 months and I smoke a little every other day or just not at all. My doctor said there is nothing wrong with it. And it would do more harm if I stressed over the fact that I couldn't. I personal feel it is fine to use but it another to abuse it! And when I say I smoke I only smoke a hit or 2 a day nothing big.
I would also like to tell everyone I am in Ca where prop 215 was passed I get my pot from a doctor not the streets. I have a medical note so I do not run around in the streets to get it I go straight to the drug store.
Peace & Love ~
