I had no previous medical history. I was admitted to the hospital (26 week of pregnancy). The next day I developed tachycardia and dyspnea. Cardiologist found no abnormality. The next morning I started to have respiratory distress. I was dyspneic/tachypneic with RR 35/min, fever 38deg.C. CXR showed haziness-interstitial infiltrate in the left lower lobe. In the following two hours my condition was rapidly deteriorated with severe hypoxaemia. I was transferred to ICU where I was put on mech ventilation.

Eight hours after initiation of mech. ventilation I delivered my baby alive. in the following 48 hours I improved significantly and I was successfully extubated. Will my heart and lungs fully recover? Am I correct to suspect ritodrine to be the cause of my problems?
