I need information about primary pulmonaryhypertension. What disorder may cause it? How is it treated? Is it dangerous disease? Does primary mean that it is hereditary?
Primary pulmonary hypertension in which the blood pressure in pulmonary blood vessel rises above normal levels in unknown reason. This is very rare lung disorder. Primary or idiopathic means that cause of disease is not known. Patients are usually treated with calcium channel blocking drugs or intravenous administered vasodilatators. Anticoagulants and diuretics are also helpful. With optimal therapy, patients can return to a normal life.
