Hey you guys, I'm 17 and I've had the same problem since i was 12. A lot like your cases, they are soft and puff out like mini-parachutes. I asked my doctor about it, and he explained to me that it is a common hormonal imbalance that involves having more estrogen than normal. This bit of info pissed me off and didn't help my self esteem very much. "So you're telling me I'm a steep away from bein' a fuckin' hermaphrodite?!" was my original reaction, But he assured me the it would balance out in a few years. Then i let go of his neck and put down the knife.

Hey im 16 now and I started getting puffy nipples when i was about 13. I didn't think they would go away until just a few months ago they started getting smaller. Right now they are still a little big but alot better than they used to.

ha its really weird readin some of these ( i too suffer from .... the hidiouse THING ) i am 14 ( confident with girls ) and it get SOOOembassed ! they go down to size when i'mcold ! its sooo weird they go huge and it feels like there is a lump underneath them ..... pain in the royl ass in summer when i want a tan and i cant play footie topless and i go swmming with shirts on ..... bah . any real advise would be worshipped , ( there are also dark rings around them ( sometimes ) its sooo weird hellllp ! thx Wink

you may have something called "gynecomastia". In middle/high school this is commonly referred to as "bitch tits." Don't listen to people that tell you "it will just go away." It will not go away on its own. It is also not fat. It is actual breast tissue (mammary gland). Its exactly the same as a woman's breast (although typically smaller). Cause: high estrogen levels during puberty.

What can you do about it? Well, if you have no money....not much... Plastic surgery is a good alternative (this is what i did).

O the torrment of the boys locker room. I too played sports : basket ball and wrestling.

In my completly biased opinion, i think its the most immasculating disease for men, especially if you are not over weight. I was never overweight so it looked ridiculous-- sknny guy with boobs.

My advice--get the surgery as soon as you can. It was very painful, but very worth it. On the plus side: the low self confidence i developed as a student helped me develop a very personable non cocky attitude. Now that i have a six pack and am built...i am personable and non cocky..girls like this Very Happy

Wow seems like a lot of people have this condition. YOu have Gynecomastia. its permentnant,, you'll need plastic surgery.. i had it..see my other posts for details.

I was doing some reading and came across something interesting--not that it would apply--but you never know.

It turns out that anti psychotic medication can lead to breast enlargement. See, antipsychotics (many typicals) are hihgly effective dopamine blockers. So what is the relationship btw dopamine and boobs? Well, prolactin is the hormone that is involved with the development of the breast. It is released by the hypothalamus. Dopamine bascily prevents its release. So when there is no dopamine, there is no blocking of prolactin's action and this can lead to boob development. Interesting huh?

Oh my, gynecomastia? I did some research on that condition and its a lot more severe than what i think we were talking about(what i was talking about, at least) O.o. What i'm talking about targets the nipples alone. Everything els is in the right proportion. Surgery may be an option, but my physition was pretty confident when he explained to me that it would reverse itself before my 20's.

i just turned 14 a bout 1 month ago. i'ved had this problem for as long as i could remember. i am about 5-11 and 140 lbs. i have a niced body (6 pack etc) but i am very uncomfortable taking my shirtofor even wearing tank topps. i play sports also (basketball) we usually go shirts and skins. then i risk the possiblility of being made fun of. i have found one temporary cure though if i sweat, cool down o becoming cold, or somtmes even playing with them they go down

Well am bout 17 5'8 and i wieght 165-175 pounds. I do too have it. Am not sure if it has to do with your genetics or if your just fat. I am sort of fat and got a bit of man boobs. Am sure it'll go away sooner or later, its prob just hormones and shyt.

my mum told me my dad had them as well till he started lifting weights so u can try that?

i am embarressed about em too, i only swim with a shirt on. Razz
