After having strange discharge, both my girlfriend and I, we did some tests and it turned out that I had prostititis and my girlfriend had hpv. I am wondering now if there was a connection between these two conditions.

Actually, there isn’t a connection between prostititis and hpv. They are two different things. Prostatitis is a bacterial infection or inflammation of a prostate that can cause painful urination and ejaculation while hpv is a viral sexually transmitted disease.
