My son who is 19, has a protruding sternum which curves inward at the bottom. His stomach is sunken in, he has a small waist.

When I was growing up, I had the same issue but only my sternum protruded. After bailing allot of hay and working on a farm, my sternum became flat. I did not think anymore about it until I found that I had a heart murmer. Now my son seems to have the same problem, but with a more pronounce sunken stomach. What is causing this?
