psychotic children

Hi, I am 26 years old mother and my kid is suffering from psychotic disorder. He gets this diagnosis several months ago when we went to see his doctor. He frequently runs away from home, makes frequent absence from school and has severe changes in his mood. I would like to know something more about this behavior.

Hi, my sister also had same psychotic disorder. She was in very bad mood frequently and made poor result in school. Several times she escaped from home and we have looked for her several days. This disorder has to be treated seriously. There are medications which are mood stabilizer like Lithium and Valproate and are in frequent use in such cases.
Also there are medications which may be used for insomnia in manic phases like Ativan.
Also haloperidol may be used for fight against psychotic episodes.
