psychotic drugs

Hi, my very good friend is suffering from psychotic disorder. Sometimes he feels better and sometimes worse. He told me that he "hears voices" from time to time and I know that there are days when is very difficult to communicate with him. I would like to know something about drugs for this disease.

Hi, psychotic disorder or schizophrenia is very severe disorder. These people may hear voices or have some strange ideas that they are some important persons like presidents or so. Unfortunately medications which they use can't cure them but may mild these symptoms or remove them for some time. One of the medications is haloperidol which is very strong and the other is chlorpromazine. These medications are good but sometimes they may give side effects like involuntary movements.
