pulmonary embolism diagnosis

Hi, my mother is suffering from pulmonary embolism. It happens suddenly and I didn't know how to react. We have transferred her to the hospital where doctor told me that my mom's diagnosis is pulmonary embolism. I would like to know what are the signs by which pulmonary embolism may be diagnosed.

Hi, pulmonary embolism is not so easy to be diagnosed. There are typical symptoms, atypical symptoms and severe symptoms. Dyspnea or lack of air is significant sign; chest pain and the blood in the mucus are also very important symptoms. Also significant sign is heart rate over 90 per minute. If patient with all these symptoms is unconscious it is good reason to be sent to hospital and examined there.
