Hi, my father is 66 years old and he went to visit his doctor last week as he didn't feel well. When he comes back he told me that doctor suggested him to change some habits as he is under risk of getting pulmonary embolism. I would like to know what pulmonary embolism risk factors are.

Hi, my brother had similar problem and he was very afraid when his doctor suggested him to make some changes in his life. Risk factors for my brother were his ages as hi is 62 years old, also increased weight and smoking. Soon after he visited his dostor he decided to start with diet and to quit smoking. Also there other risk factors like oral contraceptives, heart disorders and long traveling.
