| My husband has a problem with his lungs for a long time. He is a smoker, he do not take care of himself enough. He is always in some T-shirts during the day even when it is very cold. He says that love warm him up. Now he has a pulmonary pneumonia. It was bound to happen. What can you tell me about it? |

| He sounds like some kind of a joker. I like that kind of people. Pneumonia is an infection of the pulmonary parenchyma that can be caused by various bacterial species, including mycoplasmas, chlamydiae, and rickettsiae, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Thus pneumonia is not a single disease but a group of specific infections, each with different epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation and clinical course. |
