My son is very ill. He is 14 years old. There is something wrong with his lungs. He had chest pains for a while. Also he is coughing. He is very pale. I have taken him to a doctor. He suspects that my son has pneumonia. How the pulmonary symptoms look like?
The typical pneumonia syndrome is characterized by the sudden onset of fewer, cough productive of purulent sputum, shortness of breath, and pleuritic chest pains. Signs of pulmonary consolidation (dullness, increased fremitus, ogophony, bronchial breath sounds, and rales) may be found on physical examination in areas of radiographic abnormality. It is usually caused by bacterial pathogen.
