I am a 47 year old woman not going through the menopause as yet. For the last 3-4 weeks I have been experiencing strange fluttery, throbbing, pulsating sensations around my vaginal area. I know this may sound weird but sometimes I cannot pinpoint exactly where the pulsating is coming from. Mostly this comes on when I am sitting down at night and never when I am lying down. It is a really strange sensation and is driving me mad. I have also noted recently that my stress incontinence which I have had since the birth of my last child (I have 3 children) has got slightly worse. Please help.

The description you posted sounds very similar to mine. I am 42, non-menapausal and my stress incontinence has also worsened. I had a procedure done in April 08 to help with the stress incontinence called a vaginal tape
