Hi
Im on the pill and recently came on 3 days ago, but the bleeding is pure red. Normally its of a brown colour put this is pure red. is there a problem?
Did you start your period 3 days ago? It is not strange that it is pure red, all my periods start with pure red and end up with dark brown it is normal. It also has to do with the heaviness of your period. If the period is lighter, the color would be lighter too.
There is no need mentioning that birth control pills have a habit of changing menstrual patterns, making them irregular or changing the heaviness of the flow. You may experience all sorts of changes when on the birth control pills. How long have you been on them? Is it only estrogen pills or a estrogen/progestin combo?
If you don’t have any other problems, symptoms , or changes I don’t think that the change in color is a big deal. In case you experience any other problems, you should see your doc then.
