Hi everybody. Not so long ago I started having intense pain in my middle stomach area. My doc put me through several heart tests and they all were fine. An ultrasound of my bladder was also normal. But, upper endoscope showed a red and irratated stomach and possible h.pylorie infection. I was put on davoset for pain and zantac. But, just a week later I had another attack and ended up in the emergency room again. Thay gave me demerol and zantac and sent me home after 2 days. I felt quite good for about 2 weeks with just little attacks now and then but I was able to control them with pain killers. Currently I’m in the middle of a major attack and just returned from my doc who has put me on 2 new antibiotics for the. I am also scheduled for a HIDA scan tomorrow. Do you any suggestions for me??? What should I do next?? Will I ever get better?? Please help!

There are several different regimens for H Pylori, so if you can't tolerate one regimen, you may want to inquire another. If you tested positive for this, I would suggest trying to find a medication regimen that you can tolerate. Gall bladder disease can certainly present in these symptoms, so I would suggest the HIDA with the CCK stimulation – it is very good thing that you’re going to have it. So, I believe that your doc knows what he’s doing - followup with your personal physician is essential. He is the only person to help you. Best of luck.
