Hi. I have some question about some changes on my husband’s skin.
About three weeks ago he has noticed that on right side of his neck there was a small lump.
We thought that this is probably some swollen lymph node and didn’t pay too much attention on it. But, we were wrong.
With time the lump has grown and developed more reddish color. Sometimes it even bled spontaneously. We haven’t seen any doctor yet because my husband is afraid what could doctor found.
Could anyone please tell us, what could be the cause of this lesion and what are the treatment options?

Well, you have given us very small amount of details to discuss with but I will try to answer your question.
To be honest with you- first thing that was on my mind was swollen lymph node but when you said those things about bleeding –I gave up from this possibility.
So, my next guess is one condition called pyogenic granuloma. All the symptoms you have mentioned are present in it.
It is in fact one type of hemangioma called Lobular Capillary Hemangioma. You don’t have to worry because this is relatively common benign vascular lesion of the skin.
The right cause is unknown. It can very easy surgically treated with laser excision.
