placebo's are sugar pills.. no hormones. unless you have the few kinds of birth control pills that have trace hormones in your placebo's... you still have some of the regular hormones from the pill in your system but you are way more likely to get pregnant while on placebo's. i don't know the exact percentage of risk but i would use protection while on placebo week of pills..
