Dear Sir / Madam,

My friend is a female. She wants to take a surgery to change her sex to a male.

Please let me know

1. How much the it cost to become a real male?

2. How long will it take for surgery?

3. Must she take medicine all her life? Pain at the surgery parts all her life?

4. How about sex life?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Nobitu

Having SRS(Sexual Reassginment Surgey) is never a simple process. It is not performed simply because a person wants it done. It is something that is only done in extreme cases, and then only after extensive psychological evaluation and a successful period of living in the opposite gender. Hormone treatments are lifelong, and are seldom covered by insurance. The SRS it self is an expensive surgery, with the female to male SRS being much more costly than the male to female due to it being much more complicated. SRS is not a simple operation, and is done is more than one - sometimes several - seperate operations, or stages.
