re-starting lexapro after poop-out

I was on Lexapro for depression for 2 years and it worked great. However it suddenly quit working, and my doc eventually took me off of it. Nothing else has helped me, is it possible that I might have a response to the Lexapro if I started taking it again? How long should I wait before giving it another go?
