Hi, I suffered from severe pain and my doctor prescribed me hydrocodone. It was a miracle pain, the only one that could help me. I used it even more that it was prescribed, and I became addicted. Is there any recovered addicts to tell me your experience?

Hi, I was addicted to hydrocodone, and it was very hard first to admit it and then to deal with it. It all started when doctor prescribed it to me because of the pain I had in my legs. It was awful, I could walk until I started taking hydrocodone. It relieved my pain and since then I couldn’t stop using it. Doctor started to reduce my dose gradually, but I still used more than I should. Soon, I didn’t have hydrocodone any more, and I started having symptoms of withdrawal. The headaches started along with the lag pain and upset stomach. I stayed in bed for two days, and all the time here was my sister who helped me and supported me. It took time, but finally I started feeling better. I got recovered from hydrocodone addiction, and am grateful that I had enough strength to do it. You can do it too!
