Hello,

I am a 20 year old female who has been suffering from reccurent uti's for the past 6-7 months or so. they started when i started having sex regularly, which apparently is common. each time one occurs i go through the same drill: go to the doctor, urine test, antibiotics. the last time it happened (about 2 weeks ago) i was having all the normal symptoms... urge to urinate right after going, general pain. so i went to my doctor but the test came up clear--no infection. she put me on macrobid anyway and it seemed to take care of the problem within a few days, but like always, it came right back. but it's weird this time-- the first two days i just had very slight burning and discomfort, that feeling you get when you need to go (but don't really). last night i started having some abdominal cramps that have lasted into the morning. i tried taking piridium tablets (i think that's what they're called, those little brown pills) but they do nothing.

i'm not sure if it's related, but i've been very sick with strep throat the past few days and my wisdom teeth are also coming in. the past few weeks in general i've been taking all kinds of medication: macrobid, amoxicillan, z pack, tylenol with codeine, ibuprofen, flu medication. could it be all these chemicals i'm putting in my body that have caused my bladder to go haywire? any ideas what's going on?

a few days ago i ordered some herbal remedy for uti's that i hope will help. any advice? this is one of the most frustrating things i've ever gone through, NOTHING seems to work. Sad
