Hi,
I am a 47 year old female and have been experiencing redness across the face in a butterfly shape which occurs in the mornings. My face feels very warm to the touch, i may get relief after applying my cold hands on my face during cold winter months. Make up seems to cover it up for most of the day if I apply it before the redness shows up. I hate having to apply make up when I really don't need it. I notice if the room temperature is a little too warm I will develop that redness patch even with make up on my face. I avoid the sun and heat to avoid that embarrassing red patch across the face. What could this be?
