red stool--foods or hemorrhoids?

hello-
I know I have internal hemorrhoids but they've never bled before so far as I can tell, I've just been told by doctors I have them-tho no cancer or anything. So today I went to the bathroom and saw red streaked alongside the stool but I am wondering since I had chili last night if it just might be the chili. It was difficult defecating but ive had that problem before but never any bleeding I dont think. If any body knows if the red foods might be causing the streaks of red could they let me know? Thanks...
