Recently, I was diagnosed with a fungal rash in the folds of my groin area and I have treated it with Loprox. It has worked and the sort of stretch mark-looking lines that developed in the folds of my groin have cleared up. Recently I noticed thin red stripe running from my anus to the underside of my scrotum. I am so worried if that is recurring fungal infection, and should I treat it again. Can anyone tell me if red stripe on scrotum could be normal?

I had exactly the same problem you described, first with fungal infection, and then I noticed red stripe on my scrotum. Then, I was assuming this is also a fungal problem since it is in the same area. That is why I began applying Loprox to the area but it has not helped. I then applied some regular OTC hydrocortisone cream to the area and while it relieved the sort or itchy and very mild burning sensation, the red strip was still there. I was afraid that was consequence of fungal infection and that is not going to pass. This made me visit my dermatologist once again and he gave me an explanation. He told me that the reddish line on scrotum is a normal anatomical line called the raphe. He told me because of fungal infection I was paying closer attention to this area, which is why I have noticed it. Anyway, when I have heard that is normal, and my fungal infection healed, I could sleep well. I hope you will find some answers here, but anyway I could recommend you to visit your dermatologist soon.
