Last week I had sex with my girlfriend and used astroglide warming lubricant (different from the regular astroglide in that it heats). I believe I got some in the head of my penis and it began to burn. After having sex and for the next week thereafter my penis head was red and tender with the skin around the opening a little discolored and the foreskin was red, split, and slightly swollen. I expected it to go away in a couple of days but after a week it still remains, should I give it more time or see a doctor?

Well, if it were a reaction to the lubrican't, it suppose it should have got by now. If it doesn't subside in another day or two, I would definitely see a doctor.

It could be balanitis and although it usually goes away on its own, it needs treatment sometimes.
