Hi, I am very worried about my health. Few days ago I have started to have problems with my penis. First, the skin on the top turned red. For two days besides the redness, I didn't have any more symptoms. But yesterday the skin started to peel. I didn't have unprotected sex, so I am worried as to what might have caused the redness and white peeling on my penis. Do you have any ideas?

Hi, I am very sorry to hear about your problems. Judging from what you have told me I would have to say that there are two things that might have caused the redness and white peeling on penis. One of them is some kind of an infection. It is not necessary for a person to have sexual intercourse to get the infection. Sometimes, a fungal infection can be caused by a lack of personal hygiene. On the other side these symptoms may have also been caused by an irritation of the skin on the penis. This happens after an intense intercourse or masturbation, when there is not enough lubrication and the skin gets irritated. In any case you should see a doctor who will exam these changes and give you a proper diagnosis. Also this will determine the right course of treatment for your penis skin redness and peeling problem.
