How come some girls have regular and some irregular menstrual cycle? I mean, I never know when I am about to get my period and it is really annoying. I do have sex with my boyfriend and we don’t always use condoms, so I have to worry about it every time. It is so frustrated. When they finally appear, they are heavy and I have cramping and I need to take painkillers and I don’t think it’s fair!!!! Is there anything I can do to make them come on time, to make my periods regular? Thank you
Actually, there is. You can go and see a gynecologist to check if there’s an underlying condition that is causing your irregular periods. A doc may decide to run some blood tests and check for your hormones to see if there’s an imbalance because it is one of the most common problems. She may even check your ovaries to see if you have any cysts. Then she could run some tests on your liver to see if you could use birth control pills. Not only will the bc pills prevent you from getting pregnant but may also help regulate your cycle.
