A few weeks ago I felt like I had something in my throat, kinda like a popcorn kernan. It was really bothering me so I stuck my finger in my throat to see if I could feel it. It felt like a little bump but I didn't know what it was. After 4 or 5 days, I was messing with it and it came out. It was like a hard white ball of I don't know what. Then a couple days later it came back. This time it was there for about 2 days and again I messed with it and something came out. Now this has been going on for about 2 and a half weeks. I've had another one for about 3 days and it came out this morning only it was a little big bigger this time. After it came out I looked in my throat where it had been and it kinda looked like a whole. Can anyone tell me what this is. Is this nothing or do I need to go get it checked out. THANKS!!

Hello,

I used to get this a lot when I was a teenager and now I get it once in a blue moon....and I;m stil not sure what it is but have 2 theories.

1- it can be caused by oral thrush- yeast ovegrowth...yummy but it's possible

or

2-it might be pus from your tonsils if you have had any immune suppression lately.....I think this is my case because it was worse when I had mono as a teen and now I have Fibromyalgia and IBS so that taxes the immune system as well.

So far, it's nothing to worry about but if it's bothersome then visit your Dr. to be on the safe side.

Good Luck!
