respiratory symptoms???

Hello, my uncle had serious car accident last week. When he was transferred to the hospital I went there to visit him and I have noticed that his breading was strange. Later that day doctor told me that he is suffering from acidosis. I would like to know something more about it.

Hi, acidosis means that balance between acid substances, in the blood, and alkaline substances is interrupted. Organism is trying to level this balance by its own mechanism. One way for such regulation is speeding up breading. In that way body is trying to get rid of substances which are sufficient. This way of breading is called hyperventilation and breading rate is more frequent than usual.
