I dislocated the middle joint in my little finger two weeks ago. When I went to the hospital, I had it xrayed and put back in place. It was not broken. The doctor then splinted it and told me not to bend it for two to three weeks. He put a metal splint on it.
Today, two weeks later, I went to my family doctor who did not like the way it looked. He sent me for more xrays and agreed that it was not broken. He said that I have torn the tendons in the finger and that it will never bend. I cannot force it to bend.
He is now going to send me to a plastic surgeon, who will bend it, but then it will not straighten. My question is: Is there a procedure that will allow me to have mobility in this joint.  |
