Hi, my friend is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for several years already. Last weekend he didn't feel good and he had to visit his doctor. After he complained on his problems doctor told him that he was experiencing arthritis flares and he prescribed him higher doses of his regular medications. I didn't hear for such term till now so I would like to know something more about arthritis flares.
Hi, I am also suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and I have to say that flare is term which is pretty common for such disorder. It means that symptoms which I am usually experiencing are becoming harder and in such situation therapy have to be stronger or even sometimes my doctor prescribes corticosteroids which would ease the inflammation.
In short, it means worsening of present symptoms.
