My father had accident at work. He had chest trauma and one of his ribs separated from cartilage. He is in hospital now. I am very worried about him. Is he going to be able to go back to work after this? How long these injure need to heal?
O honey, everyone recovers from an injury at a different rate. His return to activities will be determined by how soon his ribs recover, not by how many days or weeks it has been since his injury has occurred. As far as I know cartilage separation takes about 4 week to heal.

i went to the doctor today for rib seperation and the doctor told me it would take up to 6 months to heal
