Hello. I'm 35 year old male and I have some questions concerning my mother’s health. You see, she’s 58 year old and these last couple of months she’s been acting really strange.
To be honest with you- I have never seen anything like this. She has totally lost her ability to focus on something. She’s doing several things at the same time and nothing how it should be done. Just the other day she could burn the house down. Beside that, I have noticed that she’s really nervous and hyperactive. A friend told me that some Ritalin could help her definitely although; it is often used by kids!
Could this Ritalin be used by elderly!
Hello. I just want to tell you that your mother is not the only older woman with these problems. It is quite common.
I will tell you some facts about this Ritalin. It is a central nervous system stimulant and it has a calming effect on many children who have hyperactivity disorder.
So, your friend definitely told you right things. In kids this drug is reducing impulsive behavior and helps them concentrate on schoolwork and other tasks.
It has the same effects on older people but there is one problem. I don’t suggest you to start using this drug without the consultation of some doctor because it has a lot of possible side effects and contraindications!
