My daughter just reshaped her nose. Well she reduced the size of the nose. I have to admit it was too big and she is teenager now. Well, teenagers are too sensitive on their look. Doctor told us that postoperative recovery from rinoplasty takes about two weeks. I need some more information about postoperative care. I appreciate any help.

Postoperative care for the patient after rhinoplasty begins with the taping, packing, and splinting of the nose. The patient is encouraged to rest, in the postoperative period, with the head in an elevated position, to take fluids by mouth, and to apply ice water compresses to the eyes. Careful attention to maintaining the position of the nasal dorsum and the removal of any hematoma is very important in the first two postoperative weeks.
She can use sedative for pain if she needs.
