Hi there, I am a female who is 38 years old. I have a son, a 10 year old, who wants to run in a 5 km race. I would like to hear your opinion on this matter. Is this smart? I don't think that he could do it. Do you think that I am wrong and that I should let him run? Please answer my question. Thank you in advance.

Hello, listen up. Five kilometer race isn't that hard. It isn't such a big distance. He is pretty young and I have every reason to believe that he can take it. But if you aren't sure you or your husband can run with him. That way you will make sure that he will not overestimated himself. That pretty much answers your question.
