safety of tizanidine in pregnancy?

I just got pregnant and I am happy and worried at the same time. I am suffering from multiple sclerosis and I am taking Tizanidine, as prescribed. When I was at the doctors to confirm my pregnancy, no one told me anything about my sclerosis therapy. Do you know anything about safety of Tizanidine in pregnancy?

You must make an appointment with your neurologist as soon as possible. Tizanidine can be used in pregnancy only if the benefits clearly outweigh the risk. On the other hand, Tizanidine is not safe to be taken during pregnancy. In some animal models has been shown that Tizanidine can retard fetal development.
