HI all. I’m 24 and I have many cysts covering a large part of my scrotum. They are not painful but they are very embarrassing. I’m wondering is this something serious??? Also, exactly how common is this condition? Is there a way I could have them removed and what kind of removal procedures are possible? Is there anything I could do to slow, stop or even reverse cyst growth (e.g. herbal remedies, diet changes, or vitamin consumption)? Thanks

I too have cysts, and I have tried many different solutions. In the end, the only thing seemed to work was a topical solution called boilease. I’ve also read of others going to the extra with applying animal fat (grease) to the area to force it to a head but I haven’t tried it myself. Hope this helps.

I had the same issue so I went to a doc. He referred to a specialist who removed them. It was very quick and easy process and I’m very satisfied with the results. Maybe you could try something like that. Good luck.

I had them too. I managed to remove them forcebly though. I squeezed the area, treating as if it were a pimple. That didn't do much, besides break the skin. However, I kept scraping against the open wound. I did this for a few days, and finally by squeezing the lump a white seed-like nodule appeared. I them grasped it with my fingers and pulled on it.
It took quite a bit of force to rip it out, after which point I started bleeding profusely. After the flow was stemmed I inspected the cyst.

It was white, smooth, and no bigger than an apple seed. I tried to squeeze it but I couldn't rupture it or break it in any way. It felt like a very hard rubber.

Anyway, I've performed this procedure twice and both times the bumpy spot disappeared after the removal of this cyst. I wonder what it is... It seemed deeply entrenched in my scrotum.

I too have had this very embarassing problem and have gad numerous cysts cut out. It started in my early 20's and has subsided now that I am in my 40's. The only way to get rid of those annoying cysts is to have them cut out by a dermatologist. I also try to keep my scrotum dry by putting powder on after a shower. It seems that in my case, moisture triggers the cysts to appear. Basically, guys like us have sensative skin. I recommend 2 showers a day to stay clean. One more suggestion which I have not seen here and most guys don't talk about is masturbating. DO NOT masturbate by pulling your penis and balls out of your underwear and letting the underwear rub under your scrotum. Do you understand what I am saying? Hope so. This friction can iritate your skin and I have developed cysts from this, in the past. Hope this helps. One last suggestion, one that has worked for me. I read once about the wonders of Vinegar. I have even heard it can cure acne. Take a cotton ball and clean your scrotum with it. Can't hurt and may help you. I did this for a while and never had one outbreak. Take care and good luck!

I have suffered with a fairly severe case of this condition since i was in my early teens and had them surgically excised a year ago. Since then I have had several new ones develop. I was diagnosed by doctors as having "idiopathic calcinosis of the srotum". In addition, I have folliculitis; mainly, but not limited to, my thighs. As of yet no cream or any other treatment has had any effect either of the two. I believe these conditions to be related even though I have been told otherwise by some experts. I have seen countless urologists, dermatologists and am currently seeing an acupuncturist (who has prescribed me exercise, a special diet, taking vitamins to counter deficiencie's and weekly acupuncture). I am fairly optimistic with this new treatment; however I've just started and will have to wait and see for any results. Running out of options and faith is dwindling in chances of having any resolve. I am 25 and this has greatly interfered with me forming personal relations. Any good suggestions as to what causes this and how to treat it.

I had these cysts or small pimple like things on my testicles and scrotum from the age of 14 to 19 pretty bad. They ranged from the size of pin head to a large pea size(2cm) which where quite embarassing and couldn't be popped like a normal zit because of a hard skin. I had sex when I was 17 when I was drunk but thankfully the woman didn't notice but I was really shy about letting girls touch me down there and in the changing rooms at high school. I then met my current girlfriend who I knew that I had do something about my condition before having sex with her. I tried my doctor but was told there was no real cure for my condition and only could remove the two largest one with surgery but left me with around 30+ smaller ones all over my testicles and some on my scrotum. I then decided to take measures in my own hand. I got a sewing kit, bowl of warm water and a small towel. I cleaned the smallest needle with the warm water and took each pimple between my thumb and forefinger and pushed the needle through on side to the other making sure I went through the middle of the pimple. This caused some bleeding and pus to come out which I wiped with the towel. I then repeated this process until I could squeeze the white stuff out, which was rubber like not pus. I did this over and over again with some of the larger ones I found a small white seed-like things that I had to rip out with the needle which I beleive is the main culprit, try and remove or they will simply grow back. I took about a week for all the blood and sores to heal up and my testicles look normal, I felt as though a heavy load was of my shoulders. My girlfriend doesn't even notice and hasn't said a thing for 8 months now. I sometimes get smaller ones reforming but I simply remove with this process, there is hope!!! Your doctor may say that this me be unwise or risky due to the slight pain and some slight blood loss but I can say I am a changed person and never would have though I would look this normal after my puberty years of hell.
