If foam works for you, then by all means use it. The only drawbacks that I know of with depilatories is they can cause irritation of the skin. And the smell usually isn't that great. But like I said, if it works for you, then go for it!
Whatever method you choose (depilatory, shaving, waxing, etc.) just remember that the skin there is super sensitive (for most people anyway). Just use a bit of common sense, and go easy while working there!
