Hello Guest123,

Well, I don't want to scare you and I haven't seen what your "sebaceous prominence" exactly looks like, but it could be either a sign of a boil, a wart "HPV" is commonly known as General warts and STD that about 70% of americans carry as per statistics or simply an infected hair folicle? You said shaft so I doubt it could be the last one.

I want you to please go to your doctor, because He will be the ONLY ONE to give you an accurate answer after looking at the condition or testing you. BTW have you had unprotected sex in the past few months? multiple partners? If that is the case I'd stop any type kind of sex for now or AT LEAST use protection "condoms" .

Good luck, and see your doctor ASAP !!
