Hello, We have a 9 1/2 year old girl who has tourrets (mild) more OCD behavior and slight ADD at school however shes been doing great almost grew out of the facial and motor tics completely now for almost 6 mths now! Non medicated after using all sorts which really made her worse! Anyway her newest thing is SLEEP she dreads going to sleep at night and needs to see me (SEPERATION?????) I cant place it it came on not too long ago Is this part of anxiety disorder or is this normal because every day she worries she wont be able to fall asleep and worries and worries! She has literally jumped in my sons bed while hes sleeping and promises to get out as soon as a.m. comes without him knowing! She has her own room bed and bathroom and does not want to sleep in there!I have tried chanting OOHM, prayer, finally the Dr. prescribed a similar to Benedryl to allow her to get sleepy. Do we really need to rely on this? Any suggestions besides this anti histamine stuff? Im at a loss even after putting her in the top bunk she needs to see me she says 1 more time before she drifts off and I have had it then I like to be with my husband or have some quiet time at night plus I want her to get a good night sleep!!![/b]

My heart goes out to you. You are such a great mother doing what you do for your daughter

My best advice is that you get your daughter a good therapist to get to the root of her problem. Therapy has always helped me

Please feel free to p.m.anytime
