Hi, I am sero- negative with symptoms of swelling of knee and ankle joints, dermatitis of limbs. Does sero-negativity exclude a rheumatoid disease or is there still a chance for rheumatoid arthritis?

Hi, I have been diagnosed with 'sero-negative arthritis', after many years of wrong diagnoses. The diagnosis was made on the basis of related skin disorders such as some acne, occasional dermatitis on the back, combined with oversensitivity to pressure on neck and back area. There are many diseases that are referred to as sero-negative arthritis, since RF is determined whenever arthritis is suspected. RF negative results do not rule out disease. Nevertheless, in combination with symptoms, it can be used to determine a disease. So, final disease can be psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis, and sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis.
