Hi. I’ve heard many things about hearing loss and they say that there are few types of it. I wanted to know more about the one that can be correctable by an ear surgeon-conductive hearing loss. Also I’m interested in degree of hearing loss and how it can be measured.

Depending on where or what part of the auditory system is damaged, there are three basic types of hearing loss: conductive hearing loss, sensor neural hearing loss and mixed hearing loss. Conductive hearing loss is damage involved with reduction in sound level, or the ability to hear faint sounds and it can be medically or surgically corrected. The severity of hearing loss is degree of hearing loss refers, measured by the degree of loudness, as measured in decibels.
